Our story

A house of artists by the sea

La Maison des Artistes is an old house of the Essaouira medina, lovingly restored, set at the foot of the Skala ramparts and facing the Atlantic. Isabelle, its owner, has made it a bohemian home where French and Moroccan styles meet, filled with her art collection.

[To complete by Isabelle: the history of the house, when and how she discovered it, the restoration, the origin of the name.]

Isabelle’s art collection

Paintings, objects and finds from her travels: every room tells its own story, and no two are alike.

[To complete: the artists and pieces Isabelle would like to present.]

A legendary setting

From the terrace, you look out over the line of cannons where Orson Welles filmed Othello, and where Game of Thrones was shot more recently. Every evening, the sun sets over the Atlantic right in front of the house.
